The Lord's Throne

Put God back on the throne.
Let Him sit there alone,
Without having to share His seat,
Let your idols surround His feet.
Lay them down, leave them there.
Don't give in to the fears,
Of self and man and the unknown
Leave them at the foot of the throne.

For fear of man will hold your tongue,
Not letting you speak when all is wrong,
Holding you captive in its chains,
It's time to let Jesus reign.

Oh, where should we go? What should we do?
Our hearts only want to follow you.
But we're taking refuge from the unknown,
The comfortable stability of what we know.

Lord, please take back Your throne.

Reign supreme in our hearts,
And do not let us depart,
From experiencing the greatness of You,
Oh Lord, let there be no other room.
Undivided worship for You alone.
Lord, You only belong on the throne.

The Way You Used To

The way your hand gently brushes mine,

Darlin’ it’s been a long, long time,

Since you pulled me close, whisperin’ near

I love you, Oh I love you.

I used you to make you laugh and smile.

Oh Babe, it’s been a long, long while,

Since you looked at me with those eyes

That drive me wild, drive me wild.

I miss you lovin’ me.

I miss you lovin’ me.

I miss you lovin’ me,

Like you used to, like you used to.

Your tender kiss and firm embrace,

It sends me to that special place.

But, my suitcase still sits on the stairs,

Waitin’ for you to show your face.

You told me I was the only one,

That you would never do me wrong.

Yet she’s the one who gets your love.

Now those promises are all gone,

All gone.

I miss you lovin’ me.

I miss you lovin’ me.

I miss you lovin’ me,

Like you used to, like you used to.

If we could go back,

To the way it used to be.

I know it would work, Baby.

Let’s make it feel like the first time.

(Cause)

I miss you lovin’ me.

I miss you lovin’ me.

I miss you lovin’ me,

Like you used to, like you used to.

Addicted

I think of you

It sets me on a high

Like a peaceful dream

Underneath a starlit sky

I need you now

Like I need the air I breathe

It’s not too far

So won’t you come to me?

(Cause I’m)

Addicted

Addicted to you

And I’m so convicted

But I’m addicted to you (x2)

If you got the time

Then I've got the place

I need a hit

We’ll take it at your pace

I’m spun around

And twisted up inside

It might be wrong

But it feels oh so right

(Cause I’m)

Addicted

Addicted to you

And I’m so convicted

But I’m addicted to you (x2)

Wishin'

Walkin’ circles underneath the moonlight

I see the gleam sparklin’ bright in your eyes.

So I take a leap of faith

Hoping everything is all right.

But it’s all wrong, all wrong

(cause you’re)

Wishin’ you were here with me

And wishin’ for all that it could be.

Wishin’ life was just like this

And wishin’ for just one more kiss.

(but) You made your choice

And now you’re gone,

(and)You’re wishin’

Yeah, you’re wishin’ (x2)

Boy, for me.

Your sweet voice calls me into the night

Twisting knots inside that I don’t wanna fight.

You say we can be friends

And that is where it ends.

But you were wrong, all wrong,

(cause you’re)

Wishin’ you were here with me

And wishin’ for all that it could be.

Wishin’ life was just like this

And wishin’ for just one more kiss.

(but) You made your choice

And now you’re gone,

(and)You’re wishin’

Yeah, you’re wishin’ (x2)

Boy, for me.

Voiceless Call

Little boy sits alone in the world.
Small and fragile, hair full of curls.

Wondering where his friends have gone to play,
Hoping to talk to someone that day.

His parents discarded him from their lives,
Showing him that it's his birth they despise.

He sits alone and confused,
Not seeing reason for his parents' abuse.

They're too busy to show him love,
Too tired, to impatient to give him enough.

If only someone will hold him in their arms,
Saving him from his own family's harm.

But for now he will sit silent and small,
Lonely in a world with a voiceless call.

Stone Heart

As I walk among the Fallen Leaves,
Depths of Towering Trees,
Blooming Flowers caress my feet,
As I ponder deeper through the brush.

A small bluebird flutters by,
I pull a branch from the interference of my eye,
Enclosed in a wall of Weaving Vines,
Stands an Abandoned Shadow.

Pulling back the thorn-thick entrance sealed,
A Stone Door is revealed.
Pushing against it's solid stubbornness,
I am unable to go inside.

So, I search.
Search for a way to its opening,
Under a Secret Compartment, the key,
Hidden from the blind eye below.

A small drop of blood seeps,
Pouring from my outstretched reach,
Punctured by the thorn inside.

Pinching the key in my hand,
I open the thick, Stone Door and stand.

Inside, I find nothing.
Nothing by barren twigs and Loneliness
A place of Forgotten Memories and all that's miss-ing.

Quietly I wander
Amongst the amiss debris asunder,
Wondering where each part belonged-
Realizing that they are Broken Pieces,

Broken pieces of your heart.

Rollercoaster of Life

Click, click, click, click.

The rollercoaster rises,

Higher and Higher.

Feelings of excitement,

The climb.

Yet FEAR,

Knowing it will

At any moment,

Twisting and turning

Jerking from the

Right.

Until....

WHAM!

It stops.

Sigh of relief exhales,

At the sudden break.

The moment is fleeting,

As the rollercoaster rises again,

Ready for another decent.

I WANT OFF.

I don't want to ride anymore.

I'm tired.

Tired of the ups and downs.

Tired of feeling,

Completely,

Sick.

LET ME OFF!

The coaster climbs on.

LET ME OFF!

The pinnacle has come,

Ready to take me to yet another

And LET ME OFF this rollercoaster?
